Cat5e UTP RJ45 Ethernet Cable
Product Details
Overview
A straightforward Cat5e UTP patch cable with moulded RJ45 connectors at both ends — the cable that connects a networked receipt printer, an Ethernet POS terminal or a back-office machine to the switch.
Cat5e is rated to 100 MHz and supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), with the tighter crosstalk specification that separates it from plain Cat5. It is backward compatible with 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps equipment, so it works with older printers and terminals as well.
A wired run is still the right answer wherever a device has to stay reachable: an Ethernet-connected receipt printer does not drop off the network because the Wi-Fi got busy at lunchtime.
Key Features
- Gigabit ready — supports 1000BASE-T at 100 MHz
- Backward compatible — works with 10 and 100 Mbps devices
- Moulded RJ45 connectors — strain-relieved at both ends
- Unshielded twisted pair — flexible and easy to route around a counter
- Reliable by design — a wired link does not compete with the shop Wi-Fi
